Shin-Soo Choo stays hot coming off All-Star break, extends on-base streak to 52
Going into the first game after the All-Star break, Shin-Soo Choo leads off for the Rangers and getting a hit in his first at bat extending his consecutive on-base streak to 52 games, tying the longest streak in the majors since 2007 when Kevin Millar got on base in 52 consecutive games for the Red Sox.
If you are wondering how close Choo is to breaking the all-time record it will be a while. The record belongs to teh great Ted Williams who hit safely in 83 straight games back in 1949.
